Animal Planet show The Haunted

What has happened to the Discovery Networks? Half of their stuff is sensationalized rubbish now, but "The Haunted" is the biggest pile of charlatanism I've ever seen on national TV. Frankly, I'd be surprised to see this crap on SyFy; the Ghost Hunters look like the Green Berets compared to these quacks.

It is basically a show about hauntings, and the catch that makes it relevant" to Animal Planet, is that all the victims have animals, which are also spooked by the ghosts. In this particular one, apparently the crazy ex-roommate (who dressed as a goth and had lots of candles) put a curse on the home owner and invited evil spirits into the house with a dark necklace. No I am not making this up, yes this is presented as a documentary on a discovery network affiliate, it was not a bad B movie.

Honestly, who the f-ck believes in witchcraft today? Some people may believe in the paranormal, but witch-craft? Did the home owner get to roll her will save? The people that think the US government destroyed the Twin Towers with space borne graviton beams must be laughing at this nonsense. What a bunch of charlatans.

Frankly it would be less of a betrayal of their original mission statement if Nickelodeon started showing scat porn.

Just another in a long line of pointless BS completely unrelated to the actual channel. I can't stand watching those channels because the commercials are all hype for another show, or it's pointless BS that literally offends me. mycleanpc for example, giant fucking scam, and they're getting coverage on a fucking "intelligent" channel? WTF??!?!?!??!?!?? What happened to the real Discovery Channel?

The only things on TV I regularly watch at this point are sports. If it weren't for college football and basketball (I'd say college baseball too, but it's basically never on TV anyway), I could save a nice chunk/year on cable and get every show I want on netflix. Oh well.

These "haunting" shows are such BS. I love how they record the show with electronic devices and you cannot hear any answers to the questions asked, yet their recorders pick up what these "spirits" are saying.

Animal Planet is a great channel to watch between 2am and 6am though when you are bored at work. Most other channels have infomercials.

They went to a local place (Pennhurst) on one of the ghost shows. I only watched it to see the deserted state school, the ghost aspect was so bad I ended up leaving the show in the middle, lol

The Discovery networks do have some decent shows but they seem to fill the rest of their schedule with complete crap. It'd almost be better just replaying the same primetime shows over and over all day long.
