There are special tools for this task. They clamp on the pin and turn it to pull it out. Probably the only way to do it without damaging or marking the pin.

Similar to what I had in mind. I was thinking of the tool used to remove threaded studs rather than dowels.

Appreciate the help guys .. I will try to find a puller for this job !!!
I'd throw a torch on it too! Just make sure you keep the torch moving so you don't warp anything. I use a torch to pull races, remove frozen dowel pins, and even set hubs.
u just used vice grips on mine when it was stuck... but it wasnt in there very hard so it just came right out no fuss
rise and rise again until lambs become lions
clamp it with a vise grip plyiers and a knocker and it should come right out. a pair of vise grips made into a knocker is a great tool to have. you put about a 12 inch length of all thread in place of the adjusting screw will a weight on it with a hole large enougth to slide along the all thread with a nut and washer welded on the end of the all thread. when you clamp the vise grips on the dowell you slam the weight out and it will pull the dowel out. make yourself a knocker and it will come in handy for anything you need to pull out.

This story has a happy ending .. I ended up taking it up to my mechanic at Mitsu and he just did the heat thing .. It was actually stuck in there pretty good but the pin came out ok and the charge was free so Thanks again for all the advice everyone ...
