Like the others who have posted here, I met Sanjay at one of the first NG's and made an immediate connection with him (up until then, we only spoke in chat, where he "affectionately" called me ODB [Old Dirty Bob]). At a later NG, my son Zachary met him and to this day still talks about how much fun he was to be around.

It is with a VERY heavy heart that I say Rest in Peace my friend, Rest in Peace....

    Bob.
He was such an awesome guy....he passed too soon....

Never knew the guy... but my condolences to the family and friends. Sad to hear a forum member go like that.

Via Jackie, here are the arrangements.

The funeral will be held for Sanjay from 12-2pm on Thursday December 2.

    Countryside Funeral Home & Crematory
    950 South Bartlett Road
    (at Stearns Road)
    Bartlett, IL 60103
    (630) 289-7575

Also, for those who are interested:

Jackie, I wanted to clarify. Are we gonna try to send the family something as a community or will it be up to each person if they want to send an arrangement?

Vicki, I thought something from the community as a whole would be nice. But there's no hurt if someone wants to send something personally too. I JUST posted this in the Chicago Chapter:

I have a huge favor to ask of the crew. If anyone will be attending the funeral, I kindly ask that someone can print his thread out in the general section and give it to his parents in nice card from "All of his friends in the 3000GT/Stealth community"....or something like that. I will be unable to attend unfortunately, and I'm afraid mail isn't the best way to get it to them in time.

Also, I called the funeral home and asked them for a recommendation for flowers or something nice. All the lady told me is that if flowers are delivered to the funeral home, the family will most likely leave them at the funeral home and not take them with. Not sure what to do, but I don't mind making the flower arrangements and having them delivered wherever they need to go. Any thoughts?
