I thought some of you should read this!

I have read through all the rules on 3si.org. And found something interesting!!
I know I have read some of you want your money back or what ever!!! So read close.

    11) Active 3SI members
Any forum user that has an active membership with 3SI(3000GT/Stealth International) will receive a few forum perks.

    The Perks include:

    1. Ability to compete in the Ride of the Month competition.
    2. Extra PM space (125 total).
    3. A larger avatar (150x150).
    4. Access to the members only forum.

Beyond these stated "Perks" the active members of 3SI do not have any additional rights or privileges.

Any member who is suspended or banned for any reason shall not be entitled to any refund.

So by allowing a non paid member to enter ROTM is a breach.
A fundamental breach of a contract, sometimes known as a repudiatory breach, is a breach so fundamental that it permits the distressed party to terminate performance of the contract, in addition to entitling that party to sue for damages.
IM glad I only bought a year :P back then. Cause I know I was distressed when they let unpaid members in ROTM. Mostly cause there went paid members last real freedom.

    Just food for thought.
Some companies need to read before buying.

Christy and I did that for 2 reasons:
    1) When Eric owned the forum their was a prize so it was restricted. Without the prize no need for the paid restriction.
    2) We were getting too many reruns and needed new people participating.

Please remember I wrote the rules (AF could have edited them and I'd be unaware)

IM more pissed about them talking about everyone. You and the others behind your back (per say). And Its not about what you guys have done with the ROTM that was a good idea its about us taking out a corrupted business. Its turned to more of a anarchy over there.

I think we need to be heavy on paid memberships here. I think there needs to be more encouragement and more incentives as a community. And having a prize for ROTM is a great idea. I think the paid members need to get more involved getting the non-paid to pay. We are now a self supported community, and we need funds to do this.

Edit: I am not saying make the non-paid worthless accounts, but lets encourage the members that have received at least $10 worth of help, to give back by purchasing a membership.

Prizes for ROTM should be more of a sponsored type prize. For example, rather than having sponsors give a large sum of money to the forum have them host the ROTM and ROTY competitions.
So, ROTM could be something like a $20.00 gift cert/card at one of the vendors. So, for 3sx that's like Free Shipping.. haha.. J/K.. and ROTY it could be like $50 or more from a vendor. I think this would do two things. Allows a member who put time and effort into their car to get something back for their effort and since anyone who wins ROTM or ROTY probably already has every $20 or $50 item the vendors sell it would generate extra revenue for that vendor (since they'll be spending more than the gift card)..

Lifetime Paid Members of 3si.org should get a discounted rate too.. I think that's a fair way of doing it, because this site needs income to maintain servers and such, but lifetime paid members are going to shell out the cash twice. Of course this not happening won't be a deterrent for long term members like me paying their fee, but it's still a fair solution.

Allan, I'm not sure if you use any personal hardware to run this site but I have an older Dell Server with 2 Xeon CPUs that I'll donate to the site. And.. if you want to take it a step further I can get you some Sun V240's for cheap too.
The V240's are setup like this:
    http://www.sun.com/servers/entry/v240/
and I might be able to get you one of these:
    http://www.nasi.com/Sun-Fire_V480.php

I know these servers suck ass, but they're a good start if you need something like that.
