Angry How bad is this? can it be welded/repaired?

So I was servicing the GTO today and noticed this on both front wheels. Both rear wheels had no signs of cracking but on the fronts 3 of the 5 spokes show signs of cracking on both wheels. Front left is the worst one.

Have also taken a pic of the whole wheel and the centre detail etc incase anyone can identify it. I don't think the centre caps are correct.
So if anyone knows what they are let me know so I can track down another pair.

Thats in a bad spot. These are aluminum alloy correct? If so, I wouldn't try to get it welded as they would never look right again. I could be wrong and am by no means an expert with metals.

They are alum alloy. I assume if they can be welded then they would have to have the clear stripped back welded then machined to make it look right then re-sprayed in clear. But as these are cast alloy i'm not sure how well they will take to welding or if it would even be safe.

Exactly. Plus with the money that you would have tied up into repairing 3/4, you might as well just find yourself a new set of wheels that you like.

Not only would I not attempt to repair them, I wouldn't drive on them either.

They're an accident waiting to happen (IMO).

bob is correct, dont take a chance. cast alum alloy can be tig welded but not all alum alloy castings are the same. dont risk a accident take them to a salvage yard ,

    ^^^ I agree...

Any aluminum wheel can be repaired. It's just an matter of economics... labor time is expensive. I wouldn't even bother picking up the phone to inquire unless the replacement cost is over $500 each, or they were irreplaceable.
