    HHH issues..

Ok guys I know there is a bucket load of info out there on this topic but I just have to ask before I give up.

I recently purchased a HHH usb logger through 3sx. I have managed to connect to the logger with my XP laptop but the connection only lasts for about 5 seconds with multiple attempts.

So i figured I ordered the wrong one. I got the OBD2, my car is a 96 jdm GTO. The thing is I tried it on 2 other cars a 2009 Nissan Patrol and a 2010 Subaru Forester with the same result. So now I'm thinking I have it set up wrong or something. I have tried changing the properties of the usb port and in the software but obviously can't try every possible combination.

Maybe it's the wrong software or something hopefully someone can help me out.

    try this

.....go to start, control panel, administrative tools, computer management, then on the left of the window it will say device manager click on that..then, on the bottom of the right window it will have universal serial bus controllers with a + sign..click the plus and go to the bottom of the drop down menu, it will say usb serial converter...click that and then select the advanced tab at the top of the window...uncheck load vcp and try connecting. cable in, ignition on, car not started, then open HHH This is on XP and it worked for me.

Thanks for the reply mate I tried that but still no luck. Maybe the cars I am trying it on are in the 5% that it doesn't work with. I'm gonna sign up with the HHH forum and see what I can get from there. What are your comms port settings Baud rate, Data bits etc? At the moment I'm on 38400, 8, none, 1 ,none. And in the HHH software I'm on 38400 and only the restore desktop on startup box checked.
