    Question Swap upgraded turbos question...

I was thinking about doing a rebuild on my 92TT due to oil pressure issues. When I do the rebuild can I swap out the 9bs with the upgraded 15Gs without doing anything? I keep all set up OEM (ie exhaust, injectors, fuel pump etc). Would it screw up the ECU in anyway since the turbos are bigger? All input is greatly appreciated... Thanks.

At an absolute minimum you would need to upgrade your fuel pump, injectors, and get a piggyback to retune your computer. You'd need to do at least that unless you wanted to run less than 11lbs of boost. But then you wouldn't get any more power than you now have. More power = more fuel = larger injectors. 15g's + stock injectors + stock fuel pump= destroyed engine.
It's a '99 VR4 with an SL wing,19T's, 720cc Inj, DSM SMIC, AEM EMS, Modified exhaust, PPE Hi Flo Cat, Aquamist 2S, and other supporting MODS.

you can probably get away with running 15g's on a completely stock car, as long as you keep it at wastegate pressure. I wouldn't necessarily recommend racing it around though, until you have the proper supporting mods done.

You will be fine if you install nothing but the turbos on a stock car and run the stock boost level.

I have safely gotten 13psi out of my 13t's on stock FP, IJ, ECU, with 0 knock. That was at 3300ft above sea level. Just saying. This may not be the case for other cars.
