A stock VR-4 on wastegate will do 151 indicated (something like high 130's, low 140's)

I've personally seen an SL do 145.. Yes speeding is bad. I know I know. I've also done 155 in the VR4(kept on going when the SL let up). I was only endangering my own life since I was on an interstate at 3 am with no one around(except the SL) and only me in my car.

I use GPS on both of those runs. Unless you are meaning wastegate as in 6psi then I could see high 130s low 140s. My 155 run in the VR-4 was 155 on the GPS and I believe about 175 on the speedo. My speedo is irrelevant when doing those speeds, so I couldn't really look at it. I was interested in seeing that the Max speed was on my GPS, which was 155.

A 6 speed is geared higher so you could theoretically hit ~244 mph, versus a theoretical 204 mph on a 5 speed.

Oh, I know the speedo is useless. I was running wastegate boost, and it took eons to get to an indicated 150 on the speedo, and I kept my foot planted to the end of 4th (downhill by this point) before I decided to stop being a flaming idiot, lol.

Stock, you're limited by power. Like Brian said, with enough power, the 6 speed can hit a higher top speed.
