Yeah, I expect NIT this year with this young team, unless we can somehow beat BYU and SDSU or win the tourney. Both those teams are playing great this year so we will see.

    Jeremy

Is it sort of like Texas last season where every player thinks they're NBA caliber and they're all after "MY points"? Lots of stupid, selfish shots?

I'm hoping we only have 1 player from this team go pro (Jordan Hamilton, 6'7", 42% 3's, 20 ppg, 7 boards), but I won't blame Tristan Thompson (6'9" PF, super athlete, very refined... We're making him play out of position on our small team. Dude had 5 blocks against Illiniois, 3 against Pitt, averages 2 per game... 13 ppg, 8 boards, his moves in the paint just SCREAM potential)

We'll have a true center the year AFTER next in the form of #4 over all recruit Cameron Ridley Next year, unfortunately, unless Tristan stick around, we'll be very weak at center.

The upcoming schedule will define our season
    Jan 19 vs #10 TA&M
    Jan 22 @ #2 KU
    Jan 26 @ OKST
    Jan 29 vs #14 MIZZ
    Jan 31 @ #10 TA&M

Let's hope the brutal OOC schedule pays off

eh you will make it even if you lose all those games, its super annoying about basketball... You are like OMG GREAT GAME! and then you are like "wait it doesnt matter... they are going to make it anyways..."...

I swear they need "mini" tourneys and then just do the invites from those.

    Huh? Seeding doesn't matter?

I take a great deal of pleasure from watching our players and teams develop over the course of a season. If you only catch highlights, you don't see any of that.

Your team is #1 and you can't even get into it. You're just not a basketball fan.

seeding really doesn't matter.. cmon its a minor point, it helps but cmon...

And no im not a true basketball fan, I admit im a "tourney" poser...

Some games are great game and I will take it over NBA any day of the week but once a team has a high win percentage you know they are getting in.

    ROFL...

21 fouls committed by A&M vs 17 for Texas.

We shot 58% from the field and held A&M to 41.5%. Tristan Thompson and Jordan Hamilton were both unstoppable. If you want to pretend that's due to the officiating, that's fine.

Like most of Rick Barnes teams, this one is extremely tough defensively. We can take over games on the defensive side of the ball. A&M missed some easy shots too though... I think it will be a much different game in College Station.

There's plenty of statistical analysis out there showing that I'm right and you're wrong. It's a fun project for college students in statistics courses... google might be useful if you ever want to even try to look intelligent in some of these conversations.
