Have a question on data logging a 94 TT ECU in a 91 TT car. The ECU works just fine, I made one modification to the harness in order for it to work. It was just one wire that I moved for the ignition signal IIRC. My question is how I should log with it. 94 ECUs are hybrid and use the OBDII style connector. My car has the OBDI connector. Can I just connect to the OBDI connector the same as if the ECU was a 91 or do I need to modify something ?

No, you will need a hybrid logger since the ECU is hybrid. I'm 95% sure.

Thats what I figured. What I am curios about is the cable. I still have the OBDI diagnostics port. Do you know if I use the same pins as I would for the 91 or are they different or do I need to make some wiring mods ?

Hybrid's use an OBDII shaped plug.

Yeah thats my issue. I have a 94 ECU in a 91 VR4 with the 91 VR4 harness. I am reading Gatecrashers $7 hybrid cable thread on 3si, maybe he can shed some light on how I can use my OBDI plug to pull the info from the 94 ECU.
