Question Help with Install, anyone run into this?

I just installed a CXRacing FMIC, but upon putting back the stock MAF and intake bubble I noticed that it doesn't fit. The pipe coming off the plenum hits the top of the MAF.

Has anyone else run into this issue, or know of a way to fix it?

    Thanks.

Cut some of your piping to make it fit.

Any way to move the MAF down a bit? Maybe disconnect it from the bracket (assuming you don't have a stock airbox)? I didn't have to modify mine at all to get it to fit.

Shouldn't be an issue, I've done several, they are all close and the pipe may be resting on the MAF but thats OK, the bubble and intake pipes are flexible so it should go down enough. If you have a K&N filter with those L-brackets holding the MAF in place you may have to get rid of them.

Thanks for the input, but the issue was just that the air filter was too long. It was a 7in and it worked fine with the stock Y pipe, but not with the hard pipe. I bought a 5in one and that will give be plenty of clearance. Now I guess I'll just sell the 7in one. I never even used it. Oh, well.

Just a thought, but maybe a plenum spacer [about 1/4"] would provide the extra space you needed by raising the plenum and all attachments.
