The Flamingo is a nice hotel and in a great location on the strip. I've stayed at the Luxor and it wasn't bad either, they have tunnels that connect you to the other hotels next to it so you never have to go outside. (March can still be pretty cold in Vegas) The Palace Station has hosted the WCNC when we've held it and it's 2 blocks off the strip, but it's also cheap, uncrowded and recently had all the rooms remodeled. It's also where OJ finally got his ass busted. I was there when it happened.

We stayed at the Treasure Island last year and it was nice, kind of the middle of the strip. Make sure to go downtown at least one night to see the light and sound show on the canopy. Cheap food and gambling down there also.
Watch out for the Wynn Resorts. They charge you for a beverage if you just move one in your room beverage cabinet! Try an In N Out burger if you never had one, a little bit of a walk (down by the NY NY).
Try the CSI murder investigation in the MGM, very interesting.
Be prepared to go back to Vegas many times, lots of fun.
