Megan, K-Sport, or D2 Coilovers

Megan, K-sport, D2, apexi... they are all the same, the biggest difference is the color of them. I run D2's on my car with a custom spring rate because my car weighs 2700lbs. We have run all the different brands, they all work great for the price, occasionally you get a bad one but if you talk to them they will usually help you out.

Basically I would choose what you want based off of the color that will match best. They will al perform basically the same, and all cost about as much.

Which bushings, Fletch?

Doc, I am looking for the front bushing. Hell if I can find the rear that would work well I would love to replace that as well.
I want to sandblast and POR or Powder them when I go with the megan's.

I've got LCA bushings for a 1g in my garage that are brand new. They are for the front LCA and are the ones available from Mitsubishi that dont require you buy the whole control arm. So they are the ones at the rear of the front control arm. I think I paid a little over 100 shipped for them. I'd like to get like $85 shipped. That is if you have a 1g.

I don't know but I routinely do work to a car with one of the first editions of K-sports and what a horrid design. The bottom was not machined correctly and was almost a full quarter inch smaller than the hub assembly, and there were no mounting brackets for any of the lines. Plus he has had a pillow mount break twice now.

save up for kws --mvp motors is selling them for under 1900 shipped. I have k-sports and one rear leaked after 18k miles but the threaded bodies are starting to rust badly. The rest is aluminum and its getting brittle like its giving up its atoms in some sort of ion exchange between the housing and cartridge. I tried to loosen the lock collars and ended up breaking all the tangs the wrenches push on.

I am seeing the KW v3 on their site for over $2100. Are you talking about KW V2, which I couldn't find? $840 for MR vs $2100+ for KWv3? That is a huge difference. I am thinking Megan isn't a bad deal.

How about BC Racing coilovers? I see lots of positive things about them versus Megan Racing on other non-3Si car forums. Slightly more money than MR, but supposedly, better quality.

You read that wrong. He has Ksports and likes them other than the ride comfort.
