Then you typed incorrectly. You said he was flying, and he has not made an altitude gain, and that's not considered flight. He's just falling... at a more rapid pace Still insane, haha.

So, you would say that an airplane maintaining altitude is NOT flying? I'd beg to differ.

Definition of Flight: Flight sustained, self-powered motion through the air, as accomplished by an animal, aircraft, or rocket.

I don't want to argue either, but I would more so consider that a controlled glide. Flight is actually defined as vertical lift through propelled motion, such as the ability to "take off".

Is it just me, or is the titile of this post very intriguing and deceiving? I get excited every time I see it

Gliding is done without being propelled by any outside force. It is completely dependent on inertia. This is not gliding. The definition of flight is "Flight sustained, self-powered motion through the air, as accomplished by an animal, aircraft, or rocket." It says nothing about the ability to take off. Your logic is saying that anything simply maintaining altitude is not flying being a bird or an airplane, or whatever. I disagree. The definition is right there and he was doing just that.

But I'll agree to disagree and I'll drop it.
