i was really late to go to school and hear people talk about a terrorist attach... so i went home to watch the news. i was shocked!

i was sitting in physics class my senior year of high school. someone came into our room and said we had to turn on the tv just before the 2nd plane went into the south tower. we kept going to classes but we didn't really do anything... just kept watching as things unfolded throughout the day.

I was sitting in spanish class and when i walked in the door of my house, with my GF Melissa, tower 2 had fallen, we both stared at the TV for hours that day.

I still get angry about it now knowing how poor our long term response has been.

i was sat in a 30 ton excavator pulling old foundations out of the ground when this happened. i remember it like it was yesterday.

it was a terrible thing we shal never forget.

All I remember is coming home to my mom sitting on the front steps, waiting for me to let me know, as if someone in our family had died.

Walking into 2nd period history class as Tower II was struck. I'll never forget how eerie that day was.

Had a big party and pig roast on Saturday, it was sort of a little "f--- you" to the terrorists - yes WE eat pork, watch college FB, and still carry out our lives despite your attempts to stop it. Didn't have the party because of 9/11, just worked out that way.

Was a freshman in college in NY state. Walked into class, our professor told us and ended class immediately. Went back and woke my roommate, who was from NYC and we watched the second plane hit and both towers fall. I was one of the few lucky people in my dorm who didn't have family/friends at GZ, but it was still surreal to watch, and is a day that I'm sure will stay with me for the rest of my life.

I had just got to school from the DMV where i had passed my drivers test. I remember ever classroom being so quite and every TV was one.

I was on the bus to 9th grade when the radio reported the first plane hitting the towers. I remember they were kind of making fun of it a little bit because the report they got was that it was a small Cessna or something. Then the second plane hit about the time I got to school. In most of my classes that day we were just watching the news. Cept for Spanish where they made us take a test !!!!!

Same here. I was in 7th grade. I was in class when the teacher turned on the tv and we all watched in disbelief. Then they sent us all home and my friend came over my house since I lived right by the school.

The only thing I think now when I look back is that I still don't know how its physically possible for a building on fire to free fall like a controlled demolition, as the tower did.
