Project "Avenge"
Here, is a thread specifically made for my project i am currently working on. The car is a 1995 Dodge Avenger, doesn't start, but turns over (hasn't been started in 2 years). It was my first car, that i bought with my grandma's inheritance money after she passed.
The rocker panels are rotted out, the underbody looks clean, as does the rest of the body (some what). Under the drivers door, bottom door hinge, there is a crack in the actual body of the car, where the hinge bolts into. So the door hangs about 2 inches down, and the drivers front fender is bent.
My plan of action, is to restore the rocker panels, weld in new metal ones, fix the door, buy an engine rebuild kit. New clutch line, new front upper/lower control arms, new wheel bearings, new rear drums, new front rotors, new front axles, sand the whole car down, and give her a new paint job.
Feel free to comment, i like to share what i'm doing.

Good luck, body work is a pain in the butt, especially rust. Are you going to turbo swap at some point, or just keep it as a solid DD?

i was thinking of keeping it a good DD for me. Since i live in canada, i have to take my stealth off the road every winter. The avenger, i drove in the snow before, since it was my first car.
I was thinking of the turbo 4g73 engine, i found one on kijiji for $300 bucks, but the guy says it needs a good rebuild. Not too bad though, its a job i can do. But i would also have to do the motor mounts to make that engine fit in.
I could also rebuild my 420a engine for 500 bucks, single turbo it, run it at 8 or 9psi, and it'll give me the extra hp i would want. I dunno though lol.. im still in the process of taking her apart. I haven't even touched the rust yet lol FML.
