I've always wanted to buy a beater VR4 for the sole purpose of gutting it and racing it
Vacuum reduction, Powdercoated misc, cruise relocate, Evo9 BOV, Custom catch cans, Russell fuel filter, SS braided fuel lines, High flow fuel loop, Autogage fuel gauge, Catless DP, DNP Y-pipe, Fuel pump hotwire.
i always like the ford probe GT, i had a friend with the 2.5L V6 ...man that motor could wrap .... a few simple mods, and a probe could be an awesome autocross/ small track racer...at a very reasonable cost

My Garage
Here is my teams chump car/Lemons--- OH YEAH! We bought the festiva because it was CHEAP with a cage ready to go, and has been in 3 24 hr races already. I have a base stealth I want to convert eventually.
Going to be working on two cars this year. Project VW VR-6 and Chumpster DSM! Bring out your missile launchers and crapcans to play and drive them till they blow!
Absolutely!!!
It turns out I'm one of the ChumpCar Regional Series Promoters. I can help you guys with anything and everything you have to do to prepare yourself and your cars for a CC event. We have two events scheduled for Colorado alone but I believe 38 events for 2011 total. The very best advice I could give you would be to print off these and keep them in the garage as you build your car. You will refer to these many, many times...

Jer, do tell about the VW? Cheating on the Chumpsters now eh? LOL
Like I said guys, if I can help just say the word.
This is what we run...
My loyalty will always be with the chumpsters, bro! I do have a fantascic crap can that may be worth commissioning tho. It's a 5 speed manual trans VR-6 Passat GLX with 60K on a rebuilt engine. The only issues are it has a snapped serp belt, bad water pump, and 4 busted door handles (so you have to leave the windows down to open the doors LOL). Positives, it has a newspeed suspension and it's a VR-6. The owner only wants $300 for it. For that price I'm thinking this is a good one to blow! You want to ckeck it out with me?
Alright guys, here's some footage from our race last weekend. Props to Erron for the Go-Pro High Def Camera on the hood and video edit.
LOL, I think at one time we had four or five cameras mounted on the car. We had the fastest car on the track and would have taken the title for sure had we not used a cheapo head gasket that failed and sent us home disappointed . Ohh well, we live and learn. That's racin. Hope you guys enjoy the vid. We'll be back at it again in Pueblo, Colorado this September
