...off topic, your rims look sweet. I assume they are Rota P45R, but what size wheels, offset and tire size?

Made the leap to the new site! Things are looking good, I've decided to go with twin Borg Warner S256's. They'll stretch my build time out a mile, but I think It'll be worth it. Just don't call me a Nelson copy cat

As long as he has solid mounts there won't be any issues, if he doesn't he may(or will if he has stock mounts) have issues down the road with cracking.

The vibrations are what cause the stress on manifolds. Having solid mounts takes vibrations and minimizes them to a point of moot. Ray doesn't have have flex sections, What are you going off of with they "always" crack without?? Who else has finished this and has this set up running? With no vibrations on the welds or the welds being what holds a 40lb turbo then why would they crack other than a crappy weld?

Here are ray's manifolds notice no flex section??

Absolutely NO need for a flex between the manifolds. NONE.

If you were to bother reading the turbo "bible" it even says the same thing. Anyone who's turbod a V8 or 2 knows.

Anyway, time will tell. If a weld doesn't actually crack, you'll end up with a warped flange, one way or another you'll end up with boost holding problems like all single turbo conversions on V engines do.
That's why Mirtsubishi builds V6s as TT. Honda made a single turbo V6 a few years back, That had a flex section in the pipe.
The other option is a slip joint but they either leak or seize up.

Misinformation tends to come from "performance" shops as a means of covering up bad workmanship.

    Steve
Turbo Bible huh? Where'd you read it internet?

Ya know what no your right... I only came up with the concept and design for the set up he is running.. but I dont know what Im talking about, My career is turbo diesels that use 4 fucking turbos per engine, and create enough heat to make you pass out just by opening the damn door that power an entire naval ship but I dont know what Im talking about.

So if these shops are so bad practiced why are people still making headers with no flex pips??

But like I would take advice from someone that owns a hood like yours jackass.

    *added to ignore list.
