My parents had the money to buy me a nice car when I first started driving. I received a 1990 Buick LeSabre when I was 14 that had 327,000 miles on it.

I had to buy my first car. I bought an '88 Supra, and my parents were all worried. That car taught me to respect the throttle pedal one morning. It had less power than an N/A 3s, but RWD sure as hell made my bum pucker, lol. Just romped on it one morning while making a left on a light in the rain and fishtailed for a good 1/8th mile over 2 lanes of road.

Ours was a 1980's something Ford 3 speed they don't even make anymore you
could walk faster then and better not leave town because it might break down.

My children still hate me to this day for it.

the best thing a parent with anyone under 19 should do when buying a auto for a kid is get them a 10 year old pickup truck with single seats, this would be no loading up with other kids to show off with or trying to impress girls etc. such as street racing . granny has it exactly right

My first car was an '85 Cavalier. It was clean as hell, but boring, too.

My first car was a 91 SL, it didnt see high speeds often because thats not really what the car was ment to do being a sport luxury. I bought my vr4 with a blown motor and rebuilt it from the ground up at 16. Im 18 and dont act too stupid all the time in traffic and usually not with a passenger. (dont act like your car never sees triple digits) I should have my car taken away from me in your eyes?

One bad decision shouldnt reflect upon the rest.

so he killed that girl.... I mean, when you're driving with somebody, are you suppose to be more cautious because others person safety kind of depends on your actions?

You're taking others' lives into your hands every time you plop your butt on that seat and turn the key.
