The fact is that 3si has gotten to the point to where they are trying to "sneak" all of these new rules in behind everyone's back in order to keep things they way they were. Censorship, slander, copyright infringement, etc. It isn't fooling anyone... and it really makes me mad that someone as stupid as Nadeem can prosper from his own stupidity.

I still go to 3si, and there are a couple of mods whom I feel sorry for because they are the part of a bad situation, but 3si's day will come.

Vacuum reduction, Powdercoated misc, cruise relocate, Evo9 BOV, Custom catch cans, Russell fuel filter, SS braided fuel lines, High flow fuel loop, Autogage fuel gauge, Catless DP, DNP Y-pipe, Fuel pump hotwire.

It sure does, and the issue then was censoring (to protect vendors, now it is to protect mods/admins) and making money from users info.

    Damn that sounds familiar.

The way I see it is a lot more people think like me now.

    Edit, 3si was down.

Since it is now appearant that we DO have the right to delete our content. Does this open a new door for legal action in regard to Paid members who want there membership refunded, as a result of RIGHTS being denied?

    Just curious.

the refunds would depend on the contract you agreed to when you signed up and paid for it, if the contract states it can change rules with-out your consent then no, but if it said you must agree to all new rules and then you dont agree at some point you might be able to, if it doesn't say you wont get one

would have to see what you agreed to when you signed up

as well to mention you can take them to small claims court at least were i live for a price of $50 and they will be required to be represented in some way either themselves or a lawyer either way it will cost them money and you can represent yourself even if you dont win they would have spent way more than you will

P.S. small claims court is a sue-able court for up to a maximum of $5000

EDIT- to clarify i dont mean the mods of 3si i mean the owners of the forum(but the owners are held responsible for anything the mods do)

    I tried: http://www.3si.org/forum/f174/forum-problems-507857/

As soon as he said what he wanted he closed the thread. The same thing he has done to everyone that he didn't agree with.

In reference to the removal of posts. Their is no comparison. In that thread from almost 3 years ago the members could do it for themselves. That option have been taken from them which makes it a very different scenario.

if any one who knows Canadian law or other countries laws on this please let me know about privacy info laws so i can know if it cant force a website to remove info
all i know is the US law towards personal data and businesses.

"just thought id let anyone who wants to know how to have all there info removed from this site as well as all the Personal Created guides and ideas,
all you have to do is send the contact us with other requesting the removal of your account personal info and personally created threads as well as send a request to have it removed to there privacy statement email address which is privacy@verticalscope.com

as long as you live in the us (i dont know other countries laws about this) just say that there is no longer reasonable trust between you and the companies that own this fourm and they will be required by US Law to remove all Post created by You as well as your account

it it is not removed and found to be on the site after a reasonable amount of time to remove it and your post you then have the right to sue the company for malicious collection of personal information"

One of the biggest issues I see with this is your join date is newer then the AF acquisition date. To register you agreed to Vertical Scope's cookie cutter TOS which does not leave you much protection at all as you agreed to a non-exclusive perpetual license along with a number of other protection mechanisms of VS.

What law would cover this? To the best of my (limited) knowledge the high courts have yet to rule on this matter so no legal precedence exists as of yet. In other words to go the legal route would be a roll of the dice with both parties having an equal chance at winning.

Now the interesting thing for some of us would be what we agreed to when we registered a decade ago. I am talking before PayPal when the only way to join was to send a check or money order via USPS. I do not call a TOS or any other contract back then that said anything at all and certainly not that our continued use of the site meant agreement with future terms.

So for older members they may have some valid avenues on posts prior to 2008 but that is again something that you would need to be serious about and start with talking to someone who is well versed in the legal aspects of electronic copyrights and intellectual property laws.

    Just saying..

Whats interesting about that thread is it appears Alan and Forest Gump had it out in the open. Didnt look like Forest was banned for it.
