    forum logo picture?

    where was that picture taken and who has the original set? just wondering if there are any more of the planes ie that (what looks like) vulcan bomber?

    Hmm I am not sure what plane that is. But it has the wrong landing gear for a vulcan. Vulcans did not have tip tanks either.

    no i have no pics of B-52's, i just couldn't quite make it out at first after looking at it and posting the pic on the aviation forums, straight away they told me haha i cheated.

    I cheated...my fathers in the airforce so i can guess alot of planes, esspically the larger ones. The B52Strat is a beastly bastard of a plane.

    Many years ago about 1984, I was in a small cesna 172 at Rochester,MN airport. Taxing out for the active runway and ahead of me were 3 Avro Vulcan bombers. They did a formation takeoff. All 3 rolled out onto the runway and tookoff as a flight of 3. They are to big to fit side by side. They were in single file. The rear plane left the ground first, then the second in line and the lead plane left the ground last. They do that to avoid wake turbulence from the plane ahead of them. And loud man they shook the very earth.
    It was very impressive. I remember thinking I could land my 172 on one of those wide heavy wings.

    haha vulcans dont look that big close up. i remember one as a static display at blackpool, pay £5 and go in it, those things are more cramped than a cramped thing too.
