Check all your vac lines, my cc didn't work and I was sure it wouldn't be a simple fix and since I never use it anyways I just left it blah blah blah..

So anyways I was doing some engine work and was pulling hoses and noticed there was a tear in one of the lines , fixed and now cc works perfectly.

If the cruise light is coming on, I would also suggest checking your vacuum lines. There is a little nipple that seems to get broken off of the vacuum pump. Mine did and it was an easy fix. I fixed mine 2yrs ago and it's still goin'.

Get a male/male vacuum line fitting, drill out the nipple (don't go to deep) with a bit slightly smaller than the vacuum line fitting and press in the fitting. Then reinstall your vacuum line. Saves you from having to buy a new vacuum pump.

Make sure the plug is plugged into the cruise control box....Thats what was wrong with mine. The ASC came on and the cruise did not work

Seriously. The plug to the box is your problem . Dont go swapping parts just yet

If the ASC light comes on, but not the cruise light try lifting the clutch pedal with your foot as you try engaging the switch. There is a switch on the clutch and also the brake that will shut the cruise off if not engaged right.

If it turns out to be the switch on the cruise it may just be the clutch pedal being out of adjustment. Thats actually what was causing a similar issue for me.
