I didn't know phones could get a virus?

I didn't either. Check the Android store, he said he got a virus scanner from there. Oh god.

The iPhone has a UART serial port, but Apple does not provide access to it via the dock connector API. Your phone would have to be jailbroken. You're better off with a netbook and EvoScan.

Im going to be picking up an ipod touch in the next week or two. Im going to jail break it. I think it would be pretty nifty to use it as a data logger just to watch basic stuff I dont have gauges for and knock . Also dont have to have my laptop with me all the time then. I wish there was an MP3 player with the Android platform....Does anyone know if the ipod supports Java? I dont remember. Maybe Ill code a logger up this winter . Maybe I could make a program that takes info off EMU?

Android and Windows Mobile can get viruses. So can the iphone im sure, its just that no one writes them Now that weve upgraded these OS's its not a problem

Jailbreaking is alot easier now that it is legal, back when it wasn't blackra1n would do the trick. Now you can jailbreak without even having access to a computer.

Only if you are on 4.0.1 or older. 4.0.2 and 4.1 need greenpois0n.
