Guys we don't want you buying parts that can't be used, don't go out and buy anything yet.

All the details of the product launch are still in discussion. How to handle customer supplied ecu's is a topic that has to be discussed and decided upon along with many other things. So the easiest way to avoid people buying stuff they can't use is to have everyone wait. I know waiting sucks but so does buying something you can't use.

I'm in the process of modifying the ecu, and building a harness. I have been modifying about 5 different mitsubishi ecu's into dsm turbo eprom ecu's for years.

So is that the same one you have up for sale on 3SI? Just curious.

Cause if it is, this thread will be gone.

Monopoly is never a good business model. No proprietary info was stolen, and it's not like you guy's are trying to share info. I have been tuning ecu's with custom hex code for a long time, and offer to teach people how to do it on their own, if they are willing to learn. Take down the thread, and i will start my own. With how to's, and open discussions.

Must be so good at it, since all the time you've been involved with 3/S you've got how many running with an ECU from a different vehicle?

DSM and 3/S's while related have virtually nothing in common when it comes to the ECU, except they use the same style connectors.

And all the 3S code is out there already, people can do with it what they please.

Don't come in here and pretend to be some saint saying I teach people blah blah. If thats the case why are you trying to sell a Montero ECU for well over double what they go for on eBay? And why don't you go ahead and post the info that needs to be known to make these ECUs work, since you seem to know what it is, and are so willing to share, and teach people.

I'm sure that the friendly attitude you guys radiate in this thread, and the other thread on 3si, will draw plenty of customers.

And ripping off the community by charging double the norm is "friendly"? See I can say that over here... And then trying to sell it because of possible development that is still in the key word here "developmental" stages.

So where is all this information since you are so willing to share? It seems you know exactly what to modify, so why not get it out there now so everyone can do it themselves? Funny how you've waited this long to share your knowledge of flashable Mitsu ECUs for the 3/S platform. Seems we could have had this 2 years ago when you first joined 3SI...

I think they'll be attracted to a product that works, and is proven. Not to mention from some very long term members of this community.
