They are more common on point and shoot style cameras since the image sensor is too small for the number of pixels they jam on it.

I have had several hi res 11x17s done at copymax for $1.65 each. (color laser) Last one was a little more than a year ago, so there might be a slight price increase.

Now I am wondering about one of mine. I PS'd it with an ink effect to create more definition. (no not the purple one) lol

After zooming in, it is apparent. Hopefully acceptable. I do have the original though.lol

I'm using the D80.

Mine was from my 40D. I've got 36x36" prints from a Rebel XT, though... Should be fine.
