How do you go about raising ride height--the correct way?

Apologies in advance, as I could never ask this on a Corvette forum--as I'd get 0 useful answers and non-stop flaming. (To include people telling me to just buy a 911 Dakar or a Hurrican Sterrato).

How would you suggest raising ride height on a stock suspension car? I don't want to remove MSRC or any of the gucci bits off the suspension and put on set-and-forget coilovers (which wouldn't be adjustable other than manually). I don't need to increase suspension travel; it'd be nice, but not necessary.

I really just want the car to sit about 2" higher than stock. I realize that this will mandate an alignment, and the caster (and likely camber) will be off. So is there any ready-made aftermarket solutions (in general...not necessarily C8 specific) where you can add extension pieces to the lower mount end of the suspension--to lift the entire car body as it sits?

    You got bad knees, too?

Idiots, simply by being idiots, seem capable of achieving randomly bad things that are beyond the imaginings of sensible people.

More like, I've never liked slammed. Even when I had a 3/s, I was taking flak from you guys about how high it was sitting. And i hate scraping. Axle lift is a band-aid solution.

I'm interested in strut extensions, but I have no practical experience with them--or knowledge of how that would/could work with a c8.

    p.s.
My knees are fine for now. But they wont' get better. And I want to keep a car 20 years....

Get a C8 with the front axle lift system. That's good for 1.7" A slightly taller tire could take care of the rest. As I understand, the system can be programmed to keep a set ride height, but you'd have to do more research to confirm. For the rear, longer springs would be ideal to keep the suspension under normal compression, and a set of strut spacers for the rear would do the trick. Not sure if they make strut spacers for the Vette but I bet you could find some out there that will work, or just get some milled/drilled to fit.

I used to work for a sister company to a company that did suspension parts. Their leveling kits were literally strut spacers. They were formed with a 2 part epdm or something squirter into a mold. They were basically fancy hockey pucks formed to the proper shape.

If spacers aren't available from a vendor then one could make a mold from some wood and 2 part epoxy/polyurethane.
