    Not starting - Need Help

I am trying to resurrect a 1995 Mitsubishi 3000GT Base that was sitting for about 2-3years. Prior to it sitting, it was maintained and was used as a daily. Anyhow, I checked the battery and it was dead... replaced and installed a brand new battery. However, it still is not starting. Alternator? Thoughts?

Alternator has nothing to do with a car starting. It just maintains a charge once a car is started. We need way more information on what is going on before we could even begin to help.

Is it cranking at all? Is the engine seized?

If it is cranking is there spark? Is there fuel? Have you checked the timing? What does the fuel in the tank look like?

After I installed the new battery, it cranked a couple of times but not start. Shortly afterwards, it did not crank crank at all. Just stopped as if there were no power. Strange. I didn't have time to mess with it ever since. I will check this weekend as I have some time. I did notice the battery I took out (was completely dead) was a 24F group /750 CCA. The new battery that I installed was a 24 group / 700CCA. Hope that doesn't make a difference?

700cca should be more than plenty. Group is just the size and orientation of the battery.

Check your ground. Check your terminals to make sure they are clean and tight. Check your connections on the starter itself m
