    rear axle removal

may i receive some information on the rear axle removal.

i haven't quite lowered the rear diff yet, but what will i need to get these axles out? will the rear hub assembly end up needing to come apart? if the rear hubs need to come apart, what am i about to destroy?

    thanks

If you are doing your AWS delete, you drop entire subframe not the diff and axles.

But if you want to just remove the rear AWD axles (doesn't matter with subframe out or not), you just need to unbolt the 4 bolts at the inner side of the hubs and the axle will simply be able to be pulled out of the diff. / removed. It's even easier than front axles.

Old picture here, but the bolt-area is highlighted.

i have a pair of these 300m axles is why i ask. i haven't studied the stock rear axles, or the 300m ones, i just know they're different and may not install the same.
