The radar blue is pretty sexy, unsure how it would fit the C8 lines.

    Looks pretty good.

I had to look to be sure, but.

Idiots, simply by being idiots, seem capable of achieving randomly bad things that are beyond the imaginings of sensible people.

That's why i was thinking of just using it as accent on the AY. where the black is in my mock-up. I was even fooling around with ideas for a vanity plate; something stealthy with RPO codes that only owners would recognize/understand. (21U is Radar Blue RPO.) And i really want any kind of accents to follow the body lines; it is a very busy sheet-metal in any color other than black.

I'm also really interested in putting a 2" lift on it. That falls right in line with the changes to the 911 Dakar and the Huracan Sterrato. I'm kinda shocked (and also unsurprised) that GM hasn't offered this as a factory option. Seems far less of a bastardization of the Corvette nameplate than making it into an SUV, Urus wannabee. Would be really cool to order a ZX2 Corvette (ZX2 was originally supposed to be a Corvette RPO before GM pawned it off on their trucks).

Not much sense in even painting a car anymore unless you plan on keeping it 5+ years, wraps are much easier to do and much better for resale if you want to do a unique color.

And black is a great color for the C8. Helps hide all the ridiculous scoops and aero bits Chevy tacked on.

God the corvette forum is piss awful. I may have had issues here in the 3/s community from time to time. But those guys are fucking terrible.

Just reaffirms my desire to have nothing to do with the community.

    Precisely which community, Carlos?

Corvette owners. They are a wicked awful breed. You either comply with their antiquated, unimaginative ideas--or you are told to go buy a Bugatti or a 911 turbo.

That's ok. Just cements in my mind how I will have nothing to do with the lot of them. They are a terrible lot.

I reserved a spot in the queue. But I'm expecting ~ 2 years between when I made the reservation, and when I can expect an actual car to be delivered. SORP (Start of regular production) hasn't even begun yet. They're currently not projecting that until late January 2024.

If the world goes to hell in a handbasket, I'll just get a refund and go on my less-than-merry way.
