Being offered a stupid amount of money for it compared to what I paid for it. Plus it was black and I ended up HATING the black. Never again.. If I get another it will be CMG.

The car didn't live long shortly after, the new owner quickly did this to it.

Single vehicle crash into low stone wall at 81 Lexington
Street causing property damage. Operator transported by Fire
Department. Passenger declined medical attention and was
picked up by parents. Pole 2/48 has minor damage and Verizon
notified. Vehicle towed by Murray's Towing. See officer's
    report.

Sounds like the new owner was young, dumb and had too much money.

    Begin Rant:

I can't do grey though. Or white. Or silver. And black would only be so I could have that in the engine bay/frame--while I paint something else on the outside. I have a hard time accepting those being palette choices for a sports car--let alone GM having MULTIPLE VERSIONS of those colors available. Of the 14 options for 2024, there are:

TWO whites (including CMG which is practically white)
    TWO blacks
FOUR greys (including SFM and Cacti--which does not count as green in any sane world)

That leaves all of 2 reds, 2 blues, 1 orange and 1 yellow as legitimate color options. So you a chartreuse is filling the role of a deeper green and a deeper yellow (not that I dislike AY--as I think it and Shock Yellow on the Camaro are the best color choices GM has made in a long time). But there's nothing like Camaro green. And don't get me started on any of the other color choices that should be available on a high-end car like this.

I really want to do Radar Blue accents. I still say it is a crying shame that GM didn't see fit to revisit the 1998 pace car colorway, 25 years on. It stands out and is iconic just like the 1996 Grand Sport.

    /rant

    p.s.
found a c3 painted radar blue. it looks great, imho.

Can we also take a minute to appreciate how F'd it is that there's no ambient lighting on the C8? I feel like every econobox and it's brother has this amenity as default by now. But GM couldn't see fit to offer it, even as a 3LZ option? WTH.

The C8 is the 1st vette that I'd love to have. But at my age its not financially responsible to get one

    Still love my Stealth tho

    Agreed about the black.

Looks great, better cared-for by someone else.

Good to see you hereabout, Steven.

What in the world does a C3 have to do with a C8, no matter what the color?

Just resign yourself to painting whatever you find purple...or that blue, if you insist.

Or paint your current wheels blue to see how you really like it.

You'll have time before you find the right 'Vette, Carlos...

no kev. I mean that I i like the AY. I'd just want to do graphics on it in radar blue. I listed those pics, because i think it really does show what a beautiful color it is--without all the garish pace-car graphics to distract from it.

not looking to paint any wheels. I will have a hard enough time finding 3 spokes sized appropriate for a c8. and then a harder time living the rest of my life with purists constantly screaming about how you should only put 5 spokes on a vette.

Your graphics were effective, I thought.

Have you given up on purple stuff?

no. but you apparently have to make concessions in things you want--unless you are elon musk. I'm always going to love TVR purple, Radar Blue, and other colors of that sort.
