1st Drive issues after replacing rear spark plugs

I had two error codes on my 96 3kgt SL automatic.
    #1 Cylinder 4 misfire
    #2 P1750 (Transmission Solenoid problem)

I had a hard time shifting between gears (gears would be rough but would shift). First gear didnít give me problems but the other gears would have a hard time shifting on hills. And the engine would rumble because of only running on 5 cylinders.

So I parked my car and replaced all the spark plugs (front and rear). I had to take off the intake manifold and throttle body.

When I put everything back together, the car wouldnít shift at all. You would have to get it to go in high rpms to get going. (This was before draining the tranny fluid. )

I then replaced the tranny solenoid pack and the P1750 error code went away. The tranny fluid was drained and replaced. (Not flushed out)

It still had the loss of power in the drive and 1st gear doesnít have any power. You only get power when you give it a lot of gas.

Once you have a high enough speed, you can let go of the gas and itíll fall/shift into 2nd gear and then it drives like normal above 1st gear. The bumpy/struggling shifting is gone and it shifts wonderfully. When itís in the air, it shifts fine in 1st gear. But when you put torque on it, it doesnít have any power.

    Reverse works perfectly as well.

The Throttle Position Sensor works just fine and has a current flowing as the manual says.
I adjusted the throttle cable as well.

What could possibly be the problem? I donít think itís anything with the transmission because it started acting up when I removed the intake manifold and throttle body.

P1750 is a very generalized code in the engine computer, that basically means the TCU reported that the trans isn't working right...

You need to check codes in the TCU.

Is the TCU the same thing as the ECU or is it in a different location?

And will there still be an error code on it when the code went away when I replaced the solenoid pack?

Transmission control unit is a separate controller. It's underneath the ECU laying flat on the trans tunnel.

If it isn't shifting correctly there will probably be trans codes...
