I'm definitely in. What would the cost be for both obd1 and 2 cables with the unit?

I'm almost hoping I keep my car...

Idiots, simply by being idiots, seem capable of achieving randomly bad things that are beyond the imaginings of sensible people.

It's available now. I'll have more available when I get additional cigarette power adapters.

If we already have the ODBII converter, what is required for this?

Are you referring to the canbus converter that I made a while back? If so, nothing is common between the two, even the OBD2 cable is different.

The new touchscreen scantool comes complete, and doesn't require anything other than a Mitsubishi vehicle (pre-2005).

How complete is the coverage on the Monteros? Did you get all the ID's you needed there? besides this platform, I'm pretty sure I could get you a lot of sales from the Montero community...

Mitsubishi uses the same request codes to display data (RPM, Throttle, Airflow, etc) on it's cars, so it's about 80% common. Some cars are equipped with other stuff such as turbo solenoid, VICS solenoid, EGR temperature (california), extra O2 sensors, etc. Equipped with the ECU ID number, I can discover the request codes for the missing 20%. I believe I have all the turbo 3S, DOHC 3S, but the SOHC 3S list is incomplete. The software on the scantool is upgradable by the end user, so I can expand it's functionality if we discover some of the missing SOHC 3S. Some day in the future, I am going to expand the software to support ISO9141 OBD2, so I can use it to monitor my minivan also.

As for Montero community, my scantool would already support about 80% of the ECU parameters, to find the missing 20% I would need their ECU IDs. Fortunately my scantool displays the ECU ID, so it is possible to find that missing 20% with software updates.
