Looking to find some help with an ECU problem. I've got a 1992 Dodge Stealth RT twin turbo with 20,000 miles. It came with the stock Mitsubishi ECU but developed a no-start issue. My mechanic said it was the ECU so we sent it out to repair and was told that it was non-repairable and needed to be replaced. I bought a Jester Plug and Play ECU that was supposed to work but when I installed it the car will not go over 2000 RPM's without bogging down plus it trips a check engine light. My mechanic pulled the codes and said it needed a new M.A.P. sensor but it still has the same problem of not going over 2000 RPMs without bogging and still has the check engine light. I unplugged the MAP sensor and it runs properly without bogging but it still has a check engine light. I won't be able to pass SMOG in CA with this.
I found someone who repairs Mitsubishi ECU's (Foreign auto ECU repair) to have the original repaired but after he fixed it I'm still having the same no-start issue. The Jester still starts the car but doesn't run properly.
I've been dealing with this issue for the last few months so any insight would be appreciated. Thanks.
