2nd gen gauge cluster in a 1st gen car...

Ok so I'm still (slowly) working on my 3000, Blue Bastard 2.0, and am getting to the point of being able to get rid of the Stealth shell. But before I do I need to make sure of some things. One is just like the title states, I'll be using my 2nd gen SOHC cluster, which had an electric speed sensor, in a 1st gen NA DOHC shell, which had a mechanical speedo cable.

Am I going to run into any issues with this? Should it just plug right in to the 1g dash or will I have to swap some wiring?

You have to swap the small harness that's mounted in the dash.

After some further research as well as confirmation from Aaron (aaronatstate) I don't need to make any changes to the dash wiring for this. The first gen TT's were electric speedos as well so all first gen dashes have the necessary wiring for the electric speedo.
