Can anyone identify these clicking sounds?

    Hey all,

Can any of y'all pinpoint what's causing these noises? Please note that the engine is off, but the key is turned in the ignition to power on the accessories:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D08P...ature=youtu.be

The car was out of commission for a while (sitting for a year or so), and this was the first start attempt after replacing the following items earlier this week:
    - Battery cable
    - Battery
    - Alternator
    - Alt. Idler pulley
    - Alt. tensioner pulley
    - Crankshaft pulley (aluminum 3sx)
    - Alt. serpentine belt
    - Power steering serpentine belt

Sounds electrical-ish, no? I guess that would make sense since nothing mechanical is running.

Seems to be either coming from underneath the plenum (like the rear cylinder bank, but the sound could just be bouncing from there), or something near the throttle body. Any thoughts?

Thanks for any help in advance, and let me know if I can provide anymore information.

Sounds like the thing from The Grudge. Maybe it's mad cause you let it sit so long.

Just a guess, but it sounds like it's coming from one of the solenoids on the throttle body or plenum.

Thanks! Yeah, it's the IAC/ISC. I unplugged it, and the noise went away, then replugged it in, and the noise came right back. I'm planning on replacing it here in the near future. Out of curiosity, could this be caused by a faulty ECM, or an electrical problem, rather than the motor itself?

A faulty IAC can burn out drivers in the ECU. You can test the IAC with an ohm meter.
