    Please help!

I have a 1992 RT/TT with 550 Injectors and 500 Turbos. I let is sit for over 3 years without starting it. It would not start when I finally took interest in it. Changed fuel filter, clutch switch, battery, starter and all three coils. Got it started and drove it short distance 3 times. It did want to misfire all three times perhaps due to not setting fuel/air mixture right. Parked it for 2 days and it would turn over but not start. Any suggestions would be more that grateful. Thank You! I also would like recommendations on type of fuel pump for this car should I feel I need to replace that. It has a stock on now.

First thing you need to do is diagnosis to see what's missing from what it needs to start. You need Fuel, spark, compression, and proper timing (both ignition and can timing) From there you can track down a culprit.

A friend of mine checked it out (he is not a mechanic) and said he could not get spark. Can't check compression since it won't start. My Son and I did all we could. I wish I had more mechanical ability but sad I don't.

Don't need it to start to check compression.

If you can't get spark on any cylinder, it's probably a bad ECU. Fairly common on 1Gs for the capacitors to leak and cause ECU to stop functioning correctly.

I was wondering if it was the ECU. Do you know of ECU rebuilders?

It crossed my mind that perhaps the ECU has a problem. Can you recommend a place to have it rebuilt?

If you have the budget, I would get a flash ECU from, 3SX. They are retrofitted 99 ECU's so you have an ECU with newer components. And once you have the car running solid with the OEM tune, you can tweak the tune some to squeeze out some extra ponies.

I was thinking of just having it rebuilt but will consider what you recommend. Being non-mechanical I have no idea how to tweak the tune to get more HP. When it was running it had 500 HP to the ground. 0-60 in 4.3 seconds. I deeply regret letting it sit for over 3 years without even starting or driving it. Oh, where is 3SX. Name does not ring a bell. I did email Matt with Dynamic Racing for some advice but I know he is always really busy and probably does not like someone trying to pick his brain.

What are you using now to compensate for the 550 injectors? And is it functioning? if not you could have fouled the plugs and/or washed down the cylinders...
