    Car won't go into reverse

The other day I jumped in the car and tried to go into reverse and nothing. I mean I am pulling down on this thing and nothing, no grinding, nothing. I finally got it to go and there was absolutely no grind. Drove it around town with no issue, got it back home and tried reverse and same thing. I don't want to force this thing into gear and break anything. One thing I haven't looked at is to see if there is anything in the way of the arm in the engine bay. This is my 93TT and not the 96TT, but know people with the second gen had that happen as the counter weight (guess that's what it is) is much larger on the 2nd gen. Other than that, I got nothing. I don't see it being a syncro as it gave no warning, not to mention with a worn syncro you can rev the engine while going into gear and it should pop.

Something could be blocking it. I "fixed" a 92 TT once that had stuff all tangled in the cables.

That's what I'm thinking as it's kind of hard to put into fourth and fifth. hoping to be able to look in the next couple of days.

If I remember right I think the lower rad hose was part of the entanglement on that 92 TT.

Both bolts holding the cable bracket were loose and about to fall out. Tightened up and shifts like butter.
