    Daily drivers aren't supposed to....

    ...annoy you unnecessarily, are they?

Missus J's Acadia AND my Escape are afflicted with shiny/chrome stuff accenting the vents, etc.

Other than scrubbing all of it with #0000, what the hell can a guy use to knock back the glare?

Idiots, simply by being idiots, seem capable of achieving randomly bad things that are beyond the imaginings of sensible people.

The vent trim on my F350 is annoying like that, debating on replacing with the black trim from the work truck model or just painting it. I have no idea why car makers think chrome means better. I f*cking hate chrome. Shiny has no place on a dashboard, or really anywhere.

I actually WOULD - if I could see well enough and had my former manual dexterity - tear the dash apart and scrub all of it with #0000 and have a nice, smooth matte finish.

Alas, I would probably break everything.
