6g72 MIVEC Block the same as 6G72 DOHC?

Is the crank and block the same on the Diamante 30M 6G72 MIVEC engine as the the DOHC 6G72's found in the 3SGTO? I know it is facing the other way, but the does not preclude it from simply using different bolt-on engine mounts.

I bought a VR-4 with a spun bearing (now locked) and need a virgin block and crank at the least. I fell the ~$1000 asking price of domestic pull outs is lunacy and the MIVEC would at least have heads I could play with at another time.

I wouldn't count your original block out just yet... unless it spun a main bearing, which is pretty rare, or tossed a rod through something important, it can likely be saved.

The only thing on that mivec that will fit your car is the crankshaft....

    Thanks, Larry.

Idiots, simply by being idiots, seem capable of achieving randomly bad things that are beyond the imaginings of sensible people.
