Easiest question of the day - do relays just pull right out?

The relays in the fuse box under the hood... every indication suggests that they should pull right out (just like a fuse). But... they will not let go. I feel like I am going to seriously damage something. I have already ripped the plastic cover off of one of the relays. What's the deal with these? Do I need to use a small pick to get at the clips on the sides?

    Thanks.

Yes you need to release the 2 clips on each side at the bottom of the relay. They almost always break off or crack, not a big deal. The relays stay in just fine without the clips.

Welp - you were right... that little jerk would not budge without breaking those clips. Good news though, my headlight problem was the relay. Looks like I have a spare combination switch now.
