Brian, even if you are working 12 hour shifts that leaves you 12 hours of car build time a day. I do not see an issue...
Glad to see some progress!

what , what? wow!
LOL. If I have anything to do with it it will be back outside later in December.
I worked a little late (like I do all the time) then came home and ate dinner, then went up to my aunt's to try to get something done. I took the pan back off the engine because I wanted to lube things up from it sitting so long. Getting the pan off was pretty much all I got done. I knocked a little ding out of it and sprayed a oil/Marvel Mystery Oil mix around the rod caps and down along the cylinder walls. I even squirted a little assembly lube near the rod caps, though I doubt that is actually going to do much.
I made some notes of a few things I need to grab from my parts and tools, then put away the tools I got out, shoved the stand back behind the car and called it a night.
I hope to get back up tomorrow and get the a few brackets cleaned up and repainted and touch up the block where it needs it and also get the pan back on it. If I manage to do that I'll flip the engine back over and lube up the valve train similar to how I lubed the crank. I'll probably shoot some oil down each spark plug holes too.
If I can get that far then I'll turn the engine over a few times with a breaker bar on Wednesday. I need to figure out something with my exhaust studs as some of them need to be changed over to bolts.
I just need to pace myself because I can't make to many goals at once as it will just lead to frustration if those goals aren't met.

Understand that last.
Not messing with the car right now - thinking of selling it - but I have so much stuff going on I can't keep track.
Didn't get much accomplished tonight, because, again, worked late, and also had to gather up a long list of tools and other supplies to take with me to the garage.
All I managed to get done was to get all the old silicone off the oil pan mating surfaces and get the pan repainted. I threw all the pan bolts and some other bracket bolts in some Evaporust. I went ahead and started disassembling a DOHC alternator to clean it up and I'm going to install it on the SOHC to get the better amperage.
Not sure what I'll get done tomorrow because I got all my stuff for building my new PC and I really want to get it done. If anything I'd like to get the pan on and get the top end lubed. If I do get that far I'll be happy.
Pan is on and top end is lubed up. Not sure what is on the agenda tomorrow other than turning it over by hand a few times. Might clean up and paint a few other things but didn't plan on spending much time on it so I can get my PC build finished up.

I did get the engine all cleaned up. It had gotten a little dirty after sitting in the shed the last two years uncovered.
Cleaned up pretty good without a whole lot of work. I've still got to get a better oil cap. I had that one sitting around and needed one to plug the hole.
I might actually try to get the engine and trans set down in the bay this weekend....
I really need to sit down and upload photos and write up a nice update, but busy life is busy.
yup. get unbusy
