So nothing done on the car today as I was running around getting things done, but I got a few things.

Love that blue, Bri.
Ranked No. #1 in initial quality
Idiots, simply by being idiots, seem capable of achieving randomly bad things that are beyond the imaginings of sensible people.
So finally able to get back to the car after a few day hiatus. I was able to get the Spyder cut up and it is gone. Today I started getting all the spot welds cut for the headlight buckets. I am 95% done, but was running out of light and I was starving so I had to call it a night. I think the only thing holding the 1g buckets in is 1 or 2 welds and some seam sealer.
Hoping to have them out, get the new ones welded in, then get the bay, jams, etc sprayed this weekend.
This is like episodic TV, it's great!
Badassery! Can't wait to see progress!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------^ Yup it's a Spyder Vr-4
So I was able to finish getting the buckets out today.
I mocked up the 2g buckets and lights for a quick shot too
The headlights are filthy but you get the idea.
After looking things over I am thinking I am going to go ahead and paint the bay, jams, etc. Then I will put the engine trans in since I will have a little more room without the buckets and once that is done I will get the buckets welded in. Also being I am running out of nice weather, and this weekend is supposed to be gorgeous I figure time wise it will be better too. I can weld the buckets in when its 40*, but I can't exactly paint when it is 40*.
Looking at the weather forecast for tomorrow the rain should be moving out so, I should be able to get a lot of, if not all of, my sanding done. Hoping to spray Saturday.
^^ The only documented - and constructive - 3S work currently underway anywhere in the country...
LOL For now. Once weather runs out progress will slow way down.
Today's update is just a quick one. I was able to get some sanding done, but feel like I could have gotten more done.
I also got the area behind the rear bumper sanded. I still have some detail sanding to do in the bay, and some in the door jams and under the hatch. Tomorrow will be a no go due to bowling. Going to try to get an early start Saturday to knock out the rest of the sanding and HOPEFULLY get the painting done.
Been busy so haven't had a chance to post any updates.
I was a busy man Saturday and was able to get some stuff done. Once I got the final parts removal and sanding done I proceeded to get all the taping done and got set up to spray. Once I got the gun dialed in the primer went down.
I got the gun all cleaned out and set the paint up.
I then moved on to the clear. I started running out of light, but I proceeded to lay the clear down anyway. It laid down nice and I then tried to get cleaned up and get things put away before I couldn't see any more. I didn't get any pics of it that night. When I went to check things out Sunday morning I found that the hatch and the hatch jam had turned milky overnight, most likely due to dew. The door jams and the majority of the engine bay still looks good. I'm going to try to scuff and buff those areas and if they don't clear up then I will just scuff and reclear them Saturday as we are supposed to have a nice day.
I can start bolting some things back on the car now at least and start making it look like a car again.
Lookin good Brian!
