putting 1994 NA engine into 1992 NA stealth

What is done to make the 94's CAS work with the 92's harness? Or is it the other way around? convert the '94 engine to the '92's sensor (if even possible) Does the 94 cam even have the slot to drive the sensor? I have both engines sitting side by side on the ground... and the only difference I can see is the wires coming out of the timing cover on the 94, and the module on the end of the head for the 92.
Man, IIRC, *doubtful* I would've sworn I read SOMEWHERE that it's just a matter of getting the correct wire back to the old harness..

The easiest way by far is to just install the 1G CAS into the later engine.

Thanks! That's what I was hoping to hear!

I just remembered... if my cast crank engine used the same flywheel as the forged ones? or do I need to source a flywheel for the 94?
over the years, I've dealt with some engines that were very specific on this!

So far, so good on the transfer. Swapped the water temp sensors from the 92 onto the 94, and the AC bracket was different. 3 hole vs. 4.
Got the CAS swapped over, and just aligned the marks. This should at least get it 'running'.. and ready for the final timing light adjustment.
This is a JDM engine.. yah, I know, 'beware'.. I took a chance! This one passed my leak down test with flying colors, and visual inspection of bearing and cams and bore scoped the cylinders. It really appears I got a low mile 3.0
Regardless, it'll get all the 120k stuff before installing in the Stealth.

For those wondering what happened to the first engine: Wife was cruising along at 60, and BANG. cloud of blue smoke rolling out the back. locked up tight.. I better check the engine mounts to make sure it didn't tear them out. Towed it home, and the oil pan was grenaded. Found chunks of piston, a valve head, and part of the main girdle in the bottom.. This was a junkyard take out engine my son found and installed about a year ago.. He did the 120k maintenance on it too, so I'm not real sure why it let-go.. oil pressure was always really good, never ran hot. and was quiet. no ticking or knocking.. it's a mystery to me. Probably 12k miles since installing it.

Got several thousand miles on the JDM engine. So far, so good. No appreciable oil consumption. It did take quite some time for the lash adjusters to stop clicking upon initial start up. But it's nice and quiet now, even after sitting a week. It's fun to feel the engine pull past 5k with the race pipe. The head pipe needs replaced next. My son says he is getting 27-28 mpg out of it.
