    Finally

I got the mighty 3000 back on the road yesterday now here is my problem. While overdive button is pressed in it shifts all types of f*&^ked up but while it is out it is fine. I just put in a new auto trans i converted from a q series to a p series trans. does any one have any ideas what it could be?

Probably a bad end clutch. Get one from IPT. It's not too expensive and easy to replace.

That's probably true, I missed the new trans part. That being said, not all shops do good rebuild work. It could be the tcu. They go bad frequently and can cause all sorts of havoc. If you can, you may want to swap a known good one to see what happens, but a tcu is not something most people have on hand. There are a lot of auto 3s cars in junkyards though, so you may be able to get one that way.

does it shift different between pwr/econ (other than changing the shift rpm & speed of kickdown)? if one or the other is wack, you probably have a tcu starting to shit the bed. just my $.02.
