fans and digital climate control only work hotwired

since my engine swap, i havent had the fans working properly. i was using a piece of wire, to jump the first relay in the passenger side box to give the passenger side fan full power. also my climate control, did not want to turn on at all.

i got down into it today, and realized the driver side fuse/relay/ac box has a jumper in it too. did some research and apparently this is supposed to bring both the fans on at the same time. it wasnt working.

i removed the jumper and put a oem relay, and nothing was working still. tried another relay, nada. i jumpered pin 2 to 4, and the digital climate control will come on and power up the fans aswell. this way works, but the dcc doesnt turn off with the ignition key. i could also turn ON the dcc without the key in the car. also, the dcc only really seems to control the ac fan, not the passenger side one. that one wants to turn on and off at its own pleasure. key out of ignition and dcc off.

am i doing something wrong or is there something im missing?

What sort of engine swap did you do?

Based on my 92:
For the passenger fan, it always has power, so it can run without the key in the car. The fan turns on or off based on the temp sensors in the radiator

i had done engine swaps 3-4 times already on this car, had her almost 10 years

last engine was a jdm import, with 15gs and a chrome ecu

now a built 2 bolt with aem

i put all the stock relays in, and with the ac fuse box hotwired, everythign works, but the passenger side fan doesnt want to turn off. i removed the low speed relay to kill it, but now it wont turn on. driving me nuts.

currently, ac fuse box hotwired, and using a piece of wire to turn on and off the passenger fan ill figure this out before it kills me lol

its a 1992 chassis

my plan is to

1. get the climate control working, without having the use the jumper on the driver side fuse box

2. troubleshoot why the passenger side fan isnt turning off. it could be the relay, but ive swapped it already, with the headlight relay.

does anyone know which relay triggers power to the driver side ac fuse box? i beleive this the cause of it not receiving power. my hotwire bypasses the relay there and forces 12v to the dcc


i have noticed, the passenger side fan does try to turn off, but then the relay buzzes and kick it back on. this will happen about 2-3 times after turning the car off, but the fan will eventually just stay on adn the relay will stop kicking
