Well, new belt was ordered before any of this, it comes in Monday. I'll install it right away and start it back up.
But the knocking noise and loose of power means metal on metal contact somewhere.

Check your oil pressure. That will really tell you if the bearings are hurt

After sitting for a year (I was pissed) I've confirmed a spun rod bearing.

It has a forged crank, so ether rebuilt before or more likely engine was swapped with the 6 speed before we bought it.
I'm currently debating between rebuild or swapping in a 6G75 (I can handle the electronics needed for MIVEC).
At-least around here the engines are cheap and easy to find (there are no DOHC 6G72s avalible right now).
So I'm leaning toward that swap.
I'll require some custom work:
Motor mounts
intake plenum
Exhaust
Hood
But from what I can see it'd be around the same cost
Biggest issue is compression ratio, 10.5:1 stock.
But I think with machining the heads and a thicker solid copper head gasket I can get that to 8.5:1
