Ok, decision has been made. This year we will be staying at Motel 6 in Huron, OH.

Basic 1 or 2 queen bed rooms are 69.99 (before tax).
Double queen room with mini fridge and microwave is 79.99.

Here is the link to their website where you can book online: https://www.motel6.com/en/motels.oh.huron.4535.html

I will NOT be holding a block of rooms for the group, so if you want to be guaranteed a room, I would recommend booking early!

There are plenty of other hotel options in the area if you do not wish to stay here. There also a couple campgrounds in the area as well, if you need a cheaper option (Crystal Rock Campground is one we have stayed at in the past that is decent).

I usually get people asking about Cedar Point tickets for Sunday, usually whether or not we do a group buy. We don't do a group buy, but there are a few options for discounted tickets. Prices at the gate are $65.00.

Here are a few of the options that I know of:

Cedar Point sells passes on their website cheaper than at the gate, and sometimes they run great deals and specials. Currently, they are selling one day tickets for $52.99. Check here for ticket options and prices: https://www.cedarpoint.com/ticket-ca.../Daily-Tickets

Meijer and Discount Drug stores sell passes for $51.99 at their stores. We will be meeting up at Meijer on Saturday morning, so you can run in and purchase your tickets ahead of time there if you wish.

If you are a AAA member, they have tickets for $49 and Ride and Refresh tickets, with free all-day drink wristband, for $51.99 (must be purchased at AAA office, Cedar Point will not offer AAA discount at their gate).

If you know of any other discounts, please post up!

P.S. Fast Lane passes are NOT needed on that Sunday, so I would not recommend buying one online ahead of time. Crowds are very light on that day every year, so you should get all the ride time you want without one!

I honestly have no idea how many will show up... LOL. Probably not a lot, especially with the weather forecast. There are usually a few that come from the Cleveland area, not sure if they are coming this year or not. You should definitely at least come out Saturday if you are only an hour away. It will be a good time, and you'll get to meet some other Ohio members! Just hoping the weather will hold up...

Just one day to go! I have updated the final schedule for the weekend (above).

Event starts tomorrow with the Friday night Test N Tune drag racing at Summit Motorsports Park! Pretty much anything with wheels is allowed to race, so whatever your driving, bring it on up and have some fun! It's only $12 to race or spectate. Forecast is calling for a chance of rain and thunderstorms, so hopefully we won't get rained out!

    http://www.summitmotorsportspark.com...4/-/-?Itemid=1

I think we will plan on meeting up at the hotel (Motel 6 in Huron) between 6-6:30 on Friday and then caravaning down to the race track in Norwalk (about a 20 min drive).

If you're racing, make sure you bring long pants, shirts with sleeves (no tanks), and an approved helmet (I think only needed if running quicker than 14.0).

Mornin' everyone! For anyone who want to come out and join us Today, we plan on meeting up at Meijer at 10:00am and rolling out the car show at 10:30. Full schedule for the day is under the event details. If can't meet up with us at Meijer, but want to come later in the day, just shoot me a private message and I get give you my cell # to get ahold of us to let you know where we're at.

Looks like the weather should be dry most of the day, except for a chance of a scattered thunderstorm late in the afternoon. That is usually when we do the go-carts/mini golf, if it does rain, we can do something else indoors, like bowling or a movie.

Should be a good time, hope to see some of you here!
