    suspension advice

About a year ago I installed JIC coilovers on my 92 Base FWD. They were a disaster - frankly the absolute worst when combined with the poor roads around Tulsa.

Consequently I'm prepared top go back to some version of the OEM strut setup; and have identified a source (finally) for a rebuilt full front and back setup - soup to nuts....

So what I need is actual input from folks who have run lowering springs on the OEM SL or base suspension; and the effect of the springs (besides lowering the car..)

As an example: how harsh is the ride with say BG springs (or other FWD lowering springs) when compared to the OEM setup?

I'm rebuilding a full set of OEM front and rear struts with new struts front and back - right now I've looked at KYB - however if anyone has a better suggestion like using Beilstein's (or similar gas filled shocks) with Eibach lowering springs..then please give me you impression of the handling - and how firm/harsh the ride is.

The car already has the full 3sx vertical and horizontal adjustable suspension, as well as the heavier duty 3SX Addco sway bars (front and rear). I've had zero experience with KYB struts going into the OEM suspension; while I have in the past used Beilsteins or other gas filled shocks in the past, so I'm halfway to just rebuilding the OEM strut setup once they get here with parts from a reputable high end strut supplier.

I appreciate you suggestions, please dont try to talk me in to coilovers..I'm done there, I want a car that you can live with every day. But I woulds appreciate feedback from members that have used a lowered vs just a rebuilt OEM strut setup; plus if you've done this what you found to be the best setup without being overly harsh; as well as any parts setup that worked well.

I've got KYB'S paired with Eibach's on my '92 Base. The ride is slightly harsher than stock with a good increase in handling.

It rides soft enough for daily use but still have to watch out for hard bumps.

I'm very happy with this setup for a street car.

also what size sway bar are you using in the front. I've got the large Addco from S3SX, along with their adjustable suspension parts front and rear.
