    Front of car

What is the name of the part that you see on the front of these 3000gt's? I am talking about the large silver rectangle that you see when looking at the front of the car. I know it is an air something, but what? Is it an air cooler? You see it perfectly if you have the 99 conversion done to your 3s. How do I know when I need to have it replaced? How much is it to have this part replaced?

An intercooler? The stock ones are on the sides (2 of them) so not sure what you're trying to ask... a lot of people run aftermarket intercoolers that are big and shiny in the front.

I think that is right, the intercooler. The last time I can find ANY work done on my intercooler was on 11/6/2007 by IPS motorsports and that was "Modify Intercooler pipes". A new oil cooler kit was also purchased at that time as well. It doesn't look horrible, just has a few bugs on it and looks dirty, but should this get replaced soon? I can try to take some up close pics of it when I have time.

why do you want to replace your intercooler it looks fine to me??

your car seems pretty heavily modified. I'd say save your money for when shit breaks not replacing parts just bacause. But hey who am I to say how to waste your moneys

and also owning a heavily modified 3s without basic knowlage like that about engines and cars doesn't sound like the best idea tbh. Even a stock one can be a pain in the ass

Intercoolers don't need replacing unless damaged.
    They don't wear out.

Same goes for the oil cooler.

The oil cooler I will eventually replace because I want it to be blue, mainly for show. The intercooler I have had cross my mind because it is being seen from the outside of the vehicle, and again, for show want the vehicle to look perfect or as perfect as it can be. It isn't on my list of things to work on, it is just something that I eventually want to have done and the more knowledge I can learn now will help me out down the road (pun intended). I am probably one of the most picky 3s owners you will ever meet in your life, if not already the pickiest. I know exactly what I want, and will do literally whatever it takes to make it happen and get it to that stage.
