Question Mitsubishi GTO 1991 weight and max weight dilemma

    Hello

I have just recently purchased a 1991 GTO VR4 from Tokyo to where I live which is in the Faroe Islands, and I am now in the process
of registration, but there is an issue with the weight.. The papers I got from Tokyo say that the car weighs 1700 kg which
should be correct, but the Gross weight says 1920 and Max carry capacity is emtpy???

Could anybody here please help me with this, since the inspection office cannot get those numbers, and this is the only GTO
on the islands, and there probably never will be another one, since we are basically out in the middle of nowhere :/

My car says 2075kg for GVWR on my USDM 1998 VR4.

GVWR would be plus passengers and cargo maximum. Gross Vehicle Weight Rating.

Max carry capacity is gross weight minus net weight, though, they should know that :/

Well yeah, but I think they are just trying to be stubborn, or it might be that they just dont know that But it takes no rocket scientist to see that a car with 4 seats and a carry capacity of 220 kg is not correct, because the standard here is each passanger is set to 75 kg which sums up to 300 kg...
Its just so damn frustrating not being able to find any info on that anywhere, because they have rules and regulations to stick to, and unless I can find some valid information
quoted from a valid registration sheet, then I have no idea how I am going to get them to understand it...

But also using a standard that says 75 kg for each passenger, then I wonder how the hell those in the back will fit in.. There is no way that there is any room for them there

Its not meant for adults, you could argue that.

Could I help with maybe a USA registration sheet with my personal info blacked out for the weights and things? I would be willing to help you out with that, some pictures. I have the factory service manual AND owners manual as well that should have some factory weight ratings in it.

Yeah, I can't see two adults around my size fitting in the back of a 3s when there are two adults in the front seat.
